FABRIK NOS Heavy Industries
Back
Steve Eagle(a.k.a Fabrik Nos) got his first taste of electronic music through the dark synth pop of Information Society and Nine Inch Nails in 1989, then ended up following a progression from EBM and industrial, to oldschool German trance, to the endless world of techno. These influences are all apparent in Steve's tracks. He started producing in 1997 with only a couple basic software drum machines and samplers, then got involved with various online communities like mp3.com. This online interaction was really what made him get serious, not just about his own music, but also the implications of a totally uncontrolled digital distribution platform.
In 2001 Steve met up with Simex and formed Heavy Industries to promote their peers and have a home for their own music. The next year, Steve hosted Tuesday nights on Revolutions, a well-known electronic music show on WERS 88.9FM in Boston, where he introduced the HI sound to late night listeners. After obtaining his degree in audio production In 2003, Steve moved to Los Angeles where he continues to develop the Heavy Industries concept and pursue his own productions and performances as Fabrik Nos.
